The Hardin Volunteer Fire Department was formed in 1953 by concerned citizens of Hardin and surrounding area.  The initial membership was approximately 10 members.  Today the membership is about 25 members.  We cover one hundred and sixty eight square mile which includes : City of Hardin, Tanner settlement, Moss Hill, Old Snake River, and Knights Forest.  We average between 150 to 180 calls per year. 

Our officers are Chief - Craig Powell, Deputy Chief - Mark Neal, Assistant Chief - Sean Webb, Sr. Capt - Harry Ullery, Jr. Capt - James Redding, and Lieutenant - Ed Webb
